Guitar Burning Speed is a poor attempt at an e-book based guitar tuition course. The lessons are poorly structured and the audio accompaniment very average. The included bonuses are really freely available applications on the internet so you are only paying for the lessons themselves.
The only way to get access to Guitar Burning Speed is through an instant download from the website. You get sent a package including the main exercise e-book and a bundle of freeware applications that you can easily download yourself for free. If you sign up to the mailing list the author promises regular access to special offers and extras.
The course is designed to improve your playing speed and finger strength rather than teach you the basics of playing guitar. Therefore you have to have some basic understanding of playing techniques and know how to read guitar tablature. What you then get is a series of finger strength exercises which are each accompanied by an MP3 audio track of someone playing the exercise. There aren't too many exercises, but if you want to add some new tricks to your practise routine they should keep you busy.
The website selling the course is a bit too heavy on the sales pitch for our liking and claims that you can be playing like Eddie Van Halen within 2 weeks are clearly ridiculous. Equally ridiculous is the valuation of the included 'bonus software' at over $200 when it is all freely available on the internet from other sources.
At only $19.99 this course isn't going to break the bank, but be aware that you are really only paying for an e-book containing practise exercises and some MP3s to demonstrate them. If you want to add something new to your practising it may be worth the money, but otherwise there are plenty of other more effective guitar courses out there.
