G7 Guitar Software is an application which allows you to create, edit and play back guitar tablature on your computer. It's easy to use and comes with everything you need to start composing your own songs or transcribing existing ones. What's more it is compatible with both Macs and PCs.
G7 Guitar Software is not a course or program dedicated to teaching you the basics of playing the guitar. Instead, it provides guitarists with a fast and efficient way of learning new songs - as well as giving them the ability to record their own creations in guitar tablature or standard music notation. This is perfect for intermediate guitarists who want to extend their repertoire of songs to ship out at parties.
The software is extremely easy to use whether you want to create your own tablature or play back someone else's. There are thousands of tab files available on the internet which have been created by fans to transcribe their favourite artists songs. Playback sounds especially good thanks to the real instrument samples used courtesy of Native Instruments (a well respected music software producer).
The main interface of G7 Guitar Software consists of an interactive fretboard which has two functions. During playback it will highlight the notes that are being played so that you can easily follow the song or when you are creating a tab file you can click on the fretboard to place notes and chords on the diagram. You can create whole rock scores using this method complete with drums, keyboards and a variety of other instruments.
Once you have created a tab file - either by manually entering the notes or by playing directly into your computer using a MIDI instrument. - the application gives you the option to save it as a simple text file, a web page or a MIDI file. This allows you to easily share your creations on the internet or via email.
G7 Guitar Software is an excellent application if you want to start learning songs quickly or are ready to transcribe your own tunes. It provides everything you will need to create musical scores or easy to read guitar tablature. It is slightly more expensive than other similar products, but you do get value for money as it packs a whole host of different features. Quite simply G7 Guitar Software is one of the best tablature editors out there and we recommend you give it a try.
