Fret2Fret is a method for learning the guitar fretboard which promises to teach you to remember every note in 60 minutes. While this is clearly a wild exaggeration, some people may find that the application it provides is quite a useful tool for learning the notes on the fretboard.
Although the sales pitch heavy web site barely mentions it, the Fret2Fret 'system' is actually just a Flash based application that gives you memory exercises to help you remember the notes on a guitar. It isn't particularly well made and certainly isn't the revolutionary system the sales pitch makes it out to be. While it may help you remember the notes, there are plenty of other ways to do it that don't cost $28.99.
If the sales pitch is to be believed, you get hundreds of dollars worth of bonuses if you buy the Fret2Fret system. In reality this is really just a bundle of e-books, tabs and freeware applications that the course developer probably doesn't have permission to sell anyway. Admittedly, some of the stuff is useful, like the huge tab library or the chord dictionary software, but it's all available on the internet for free in other places.
You can get access to all the content instantly online for the aforementioned price, but the whole bundle is quite a hefty download if you include all the tab files. Fret2Fret offers a money back guarantee, but we have heard reports that they may not always honour this guarantee. It always pays to be careful with offers like this.
In all Fret2Fret is not worth the asking price. The application may be useful for some people but is far too overpriced for what is essentially a basic Flash application. The added bonuses are useful, but are all products and information that are given away for free on the internet from other resources. We think you are better off saving your money to spend on one of the courses in our top ten list of teach yourself guitar products.
